Parkinson's Specialist Nurse - Band 7
An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Parkinson's Specialist Nurse to work in an exceptional medical centre based in the Hampshire area. You will be working for one of UKs leading health care providers
This is a large practice with 10 doctors and a team of highly skilled nurses and AHP's. The centre is shared with an independent dental service and pharmacy
**To be considered for this position you must be a qualified Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**
As a Nurse your key responsibilities include:
Ability to communicate complex information to various groups including patients, families, carers and colleagues across health and social care
To provide comprehensive and advanced clinical assessment and interventions for patients with complex long-term conditions and/or elderly frail
Deliver care in a variety of locations (including community hospital beds, patient homes and care homes
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the holistic management of patients on the caseload and to ensure effective care planning and personalised care is developed with the patient
Provide educational support to patients, their carers and all members of the multidisciplinary team
Effectively manage a daily clinical caseload
Work as an autonomous practitioner, seeking advice and support from medical colleagues when the need arises
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
An interest and experience in the management of Parkinsons disease
You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel
Evidence of management and Leadership experience
Proven experience in the understanding of and communication with individuals with complex needs
Ability to prioritise own workload
Experience of innovative service delivery
The successful Nurse will receive an amazing salary up to £45,839 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working on Day Shifts from 9am to 5pm. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
