Deputy Ward Manager
An outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Ward Manager to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Romiley, Cheshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers
This hospital is a locked rehabilitation and recovery service for females of working age. Supporting those who have a primary diagnosis of psychosis and/or affective disorders who may also have co-morbidities including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance misuse issues, physical health difficulties and emotionally unstable personality disorder
As the Deputy Ward Manger your key responsibilities include:
• Provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager
• Works as Senior Nurse in a Ward or equivalent area ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families and visitors
• Provides Clinical Supervision to a group of defined nursing staff
• Undertakes Lead roles for the ward, as agreed with the Ward manager
• Actively supports and contributes to effective Multi Disciplinary Working
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Mentorship Qualification (desirable)
• The ability to lead and motivate others. Must be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and have the ability to supervise clinical teams
• A genuine interest in quality service delivery and development
• The ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Numeracy and evidence of analytical ability
• Experience in completing audits
The successful Deputy Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary of £32,175 per annum + enhancements for unsociable hours.
