Lead Unit Nurse

An outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a committed Lead Unit Nurse to work in an amazing care centre based in the Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire area. As a Nurse you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This care centre provides specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries

As the Lead Unit Nurse your key responsibilities include:
• As one of the Lead Unit Nurses you will be influential in the successful management of your staff and ensure they are equipped to care for our complex elderly residents
• Providing personal centred care within a homely environment is one of our main aims. To realise this aim you will work effectively with families, our therapy team and alongside key social and health care partners
• Manage all clinical staff ensuring the staffing levels are met on all shifts through the production of 4 weekly rosters
• Have responsibility for the clinical care of all residents in the absence of the Clinical Services Manager
• Participate as a member of the nursing team in the assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans including liaising with other relevant agencies as appropriate
• Provide ongoing monitoring, support and assessment of residents’ physical and physiological needs
• Maintain concise records and provide reports as necessary for each resident’s case review
