Care Assistant

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Care Assistant to work in a reputable care home based in the Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This care home provides high-quality care for those with nursing, dementia and residential needs. The home also provides convalescence, palliative and respite care, as well as a day care service to the local community

As a Care Assistant your key duties include:
• Helping our residents with personal support and care
• Aiding their emotional well-being and social needs
• Serving meals/drinks and assisted feeding
• Interacting with our residents on a personal level
• Maintaining and developing the residents care plan to ensure their needs are met

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Have a friendly & caring attitude
• Able to engage well with the residents and their families
• Have strong written & verbal communication skills
• Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
• Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred but not essential

The successful Care Assistant will receive an excellent salary is £9.40 per hour and the annual salary is up to £21,507.20 per annum. We currently have vacancies for both days and night shifts available. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:

To be considered for this role you must have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or be willing to work towards this)
