Senior Occupational Therapist

An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional mental health service based in the Blackburn, Lancashire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This special mental health service caters to the treatment needs of male patients with a mental illness and/or personality disorder, maximising their opportunity for recovery, rehabilitation and independent living

**To be considered for this position you must hold a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy with HCPC Registration**

As the Senior Occupational Therapist your key responsibilities include:
• You will be involved in a wide range of work, including assessing patient’s needs using both standardized and functional assessments
• Delivering 1:1 and group based interventions and being a valued and core member of the MDT’s
• Contribute to the expansion and development of our OT various treatment pathways; including vocational placements in the local community as well as on site Real Work opportunities

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Be motivated, energetic and a flexible team player with excellent communication skills
• Ability to use your own initiative
• Have a sound knowledge of assessment and treatment skills
• Be confident in working alone and in a busy multi-disciplinary environment
• You will be working in a rewarding and challenging clinical setting

The successful Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £31,400 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
