GP - Neurodevelopmental Disorders Specialism
An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated General Practitioner (GP) – Neurodevelopment Disorders Specialism to support the delivery of high quality care to children and Young People who have Neurodisabilities across Wiltshire
You will join one of the largest providers of community healthcare and a growing team providing specialist assessment, diagnosis and on-going care to children, young people and families within Wiltshire
**To be considered for this position you must have a UK recognised Medical Degree + be on the Specialist register and have full GMC registration**
As the General Practitioner your key responsibilities include:
• Regular Face to Face clinics to assess children presenting with neurodevelopmental difficulties
• Complete the autism assessment proforma through the clinical session, and offer a clinically guided opinion to the family
• Regular face to face and telephone clinics to manage ADHD and medication
• Gain and retain knowledge of neurodevelopmental disorders and the medical management of these, in order to continue to support a child requiring ongoing medical management
• Regular supervision and liaison with colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency of ongoing care
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Effective clinical skills
• Demonstrable management, leadership and motivational skills
• Knowledge and/or experience of medical management of ADHD
• Experience of recognising traits of autism in children
• Ability to manage own time and workload and prioritise clinical work
The successful General Practitioner will receive an excellent salary up to £87,885 per annum. This exciting position is a Part Time role working 16 hours a week. In return for our hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
