Respiratory Specialist Nurse

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Respiratory Specialist Nurse to work in an exceptional diabetes service based in the Sittingbourne, Kent area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers

The service works closely with GP/Practice Nurses and consultant to ensure that they provide a comprehensive service, to enable patients to live an independent life

**You must be qualified as an RGN Nurse with a valid NMC Pin**

As a Nurse your key duties include:
• You will lead the Respiratory nursing service
• Promote the health and wellbeing of people with Respiratory Conditions
• Enabling them to achieve optimum quality of life through informed self-management and appropriate clinical interventions, whilst also providing a link between GP and Consultant led specialist teams
• You will provide education and support both to patients and those who care for them
• You will also play a key part in the ‘Unwell Service’ to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions where possible

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Have at least 4 years post qualification experience at Band 6 or Band 7 of caring for patients with Respiratory conditions in a specialist nursing capacity in both Acute and Community clinical settings.
• Have evidence of post qualification Respiratory Care and Management including ARTP qualification
• Have experience in Working with patients in groups and delivering education
• Have excellent communication, IT, collaborative and motivational skills
