Deputy Manager
A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Supported Living Deputy Manager to work with the registered manager ensuring quality of care is delivered across all of the supported living schemes in the Market Weighton, East Riding of Yorkshire area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers
The Supported Living Scheme provides assessment and support for adults living with a primary learning disability diagnosis but may present complex conditions
**You must have an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care**
As the Deputy Manager your key responsibilities include:
• You must be committed to working in a person centred way that promotes independence and social inclusion
• You will be expected to provide support to the staff and also the tenants in a way that reflects the wishes and needs of the people you are supporting, and is consistent with their individual support plans
• You will support people to maintain a home of their own and to lead rich and fulfilled lives as valued and contributing members of their community
• You will be responsible for managing staff allocations, recruitment, auditing and reviewing/updating care plans / ensuring quality and person centres care is provided, staff training allocating and booking/eroster/ordering monies and also medication
• You will be expected to comply with all regulation as defined in policies, in supervisions and in training sessions
• You will also be expected to attend supervisions and provide supervisions for the staff teams, team meetings/governess meetings and training and ensure that you provide good communication to your manager and colleagues
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Have initiative and motivation to work alone, as well as part of an established team
• Be able to relate to people; be a good listener and communicator
• It is essential to have experience of working with people with a learning disabilities, autism and complex needs for this job role, have a clear understanding of the REACH standards
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues faced by people with learning disabilities and an enthusiasm for working and supporting them to take control of their lives in a Supported Living Environment
The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £11.15 per hour and the annual salary is £23,192 per annum.
