Senior Care Assistant

A brilliant new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Care Assistant to work in an amazing care home based in the Nottinghamshire area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers

This is a special care home which provides high-quality retirement living facilities as well as dementia and respite care

As the Senior Care Assistant your key duties include:
• Provide person centred care and personal care to residents in all aspects of their daily living
• Responsible for the ordering, administration and auditing of prescribed medication to residents
• Supporting residents at meal times, in accordance with their individual needs
• Ensure all areas are kept tidy, pleasant and comfortable, including Bedrooms and Communal Areas
• Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and undertaking all reasonable work instructions promptly
• Providing support to colleagues, through leadership by example, mentoring and coaching, acting as a positive role model, enabling the care team to deliver high standards
• Actively participating in the person centred care planning process, by implementing, continuously developing, evaluating and reviewing plans through routine assessment or the changing needs of individual residents. Communication of changes to the wider team and management

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Able to work well within a team but also on your own initiative
• Passionate about excellent care
• Good all round communicator
• Driven to progress
• Kind and empathetic

The successful Senior Care Assistant will receive an excellent salary of £9.71 per hour and the annual salary is £17,041.05 per annum.
